The root & branch 14-day Body Wisdom Journey is not a diet. It is not a cleanse. It is not an elimination diet (though you may discover certain foods that don’t work well for you).

It is a personal, individual experiment with your body.

So often I ask people what foods feel good in their body, what foods make them feel energized and deeply nourished — and they have no idea!


We often look to experts to tell us what to eat — and we follow blindly for a short time. But sooner or later it feels impossible to maintain those habits because we are just going through the motions, getting through the trial of being on this “diet”for a while until we can get back to normal.

If we want to change this pattern, we have to turn into our own inner wisdom. You are the best expert in your own body and health.

But you have to learn to listen and to honor what your body is telling you. Then you can listen to the experts and continue to experiment with their recommendations, trusting that you will know exactly which tools are right for you to incorporate into your life — and which you can let go.

Phase One:

2 Days

The preparation phase is about making the commitment, setting your intentions, meal planning, shopping, and food prep. Choose 2-3 nourishing foods to experiment with bringing more fully into your diet, and 2-3 potentially problematic foods to eliminate from your diet. (We will discuss which foods you may want to choose and why during our first workshop.) Mentally, emotionally, and physically prepare yourself to tune into your inner body wisdom.

Phase Two:

7 Days

During this phase, you conduct your body wisdom experiment. You will practice sticking with the commitments you have made to yourself, focusing on the subtle shifts that happen as you consciously nourish your body in a new way. Completing the provided journal prompts and mindfulness exercises will help you decipher what your body is telling you about the inclusion or absence of these foods.

Phase Three:
Gathering Wisdom

5 Days

In the gathering wisdom phase, you will reintroduce the foods you have eliminated back into your diet one at a time to identify any shifts that take place for you. You will take your discoveries into a one-on-one body wisdom coaching session to decide how you want to move forward in honoring your body wisdom.

Plant the Seed includes:

  • Three one-hour, online group classes with Q&A section. (Don't worry if you cannot watch the live workshop. Each session will be recorded and you can watch the replay at your convenience.)
  • Printable PDF workbook with ideas, guidelines, journal prompts, and mindfulness exercises
  • One 30-minute, one-on-one private coaching session at the end of the experiment
  • Participation in a private Facebook group where you can ask questions and receive support every day during the two weeks

As a participant, you will be asked to:

  • Be fully engaged and active in the experiment and the group: participate in the calls, complete the workbook assignments, follow the journal prompts
  • You will be asked to choose 2 or 3 foods you would like to experiment with bringing more fully into your diet and 2 or 3 foods you would like to experiment removing from your diet. In our first workshop, we will talk about which foods you might want to choose and why.
  • Experiment with incorporating the mindful eating practices presented in the program to see which ones might work for you
  • Use the workbook and the journal prompts, set aside time to tune into what your body is trying to tell you about these foods and mindful eating practices.
  • Schedule a one-on-one, 30-minute coaching session near the end of the 14 days. You will be prompted to schedule your session as you sign up. With 24-hour notice, you can reschedule at a later date if a conflict arises.
